Årets Anna Lindh-pristagare och utvecklingsstipendiater hyllades den 18 juni på Södra Teatern i Stockholm. På scen blandades Bach med folkmusik, jazz och visor.

Demokratiaktivisten Khin Ohmar från Burma fick 2008 års Anna Lindh-pris. Mary Robinson, före detta högkommissionär för mänskliga rättigheter inom FN och tidigare Irlands president, delade med sig av sina minnen av Anna Lindh. Hon tackade också Khin Ohmar för hennes insats för Burma.

Årets utvecklingsstipendier gick till kulturföreningen Subfuzion i Botkyrka, den vietnamesiska konstnären Nguyen Bich Thuy från Umeå, organisationen Unga KRIS (Kriminellas Revansch i Samhället) och Systerjouren Somaya som ger råd och stöd på över 30 språk till kvinnor som är utsatta för våld.
